This holiday season Barry the stray cat will be loved and very happy in his new home, which is a far cry from how things could have ended up for him if he wasn’t found and brought into our care.

Barry arrived at our shelter and seemed agitated and as soon as he was examined by our Vets, we understood why.

The horrible fact was that someone had bound several elastic bands tightly around the base of his testicles. Our veterinarians acted quickly and instantly assessed the severity of the situation.

Thanks to our generous supporters and Barry’s tenacity, we were able to successfully remove the rubber bands and repair the damage. Would you believe just 24 hours after the delicate surgery, Barry was in good spirits and looking for affection from humans?
